Aside from the murders and attempted murders, there was other criminal activity elsewhere in the country. In Roaring Creek, Nelson Gallardo reported to the Belmopan Police that at about two-thirty on Sunday morning, he was at his business place which is the Westar Gas Station, when he was alerted by a security guard that someone was trespassing in the garage located on the same compound. With the help of other security guards on site, they were able to detain the suspect and proceeded to call the police.  They allegedly found on him one hundred and seventeen dollars in cash and an assortment of soft drinks. The suspect, twenty-four year old Kim Thomas of Camalote Village, Cayo, has been charged for Theft and Burglary. Belmopan police also charged twenty-seven year old Jose Manuel Amaya, a bartender of the Valley of Peace, for the Possession of Controlled Drugs. Amaya was travelling in a bus on the Hummingbird Highway on Saturday when he was searched by the police. They found a stash of cannabis in his knapsack which weighed-in at forty-three point grams of cannabis. Amaya and the cannabis were taken to the Belmopan precinct. In the north, the house of Sonia and Alfonso Alamilla of Cristo Rey Village, Corozal, was burglarized over the weekend.  Stolen was an assortment of jewelry belonging to Sonia including two gold medals, a bracelet, and a pair of gold earrings. Alfonso and his children set out to find the culprit and managed to apprehend Elton Coba at the junction of San Pedro Village on the Phillip Goldson Highway. On him, police found the stolen jewelry and charged Coba, a resident from Louisville Village, for Burglary.
