<p>Tonight, there is news on Arthur Saldivar, the flamboyant, very visible attorney who’s been invisible since September 2014. Saldivar was accused of making off with close to a million dollars in cash belonging to his client, Melonie Coye. Coye took Saldivar to Court to recover that money, but the news is that the matter has been settled out of Court. The claim against Saldivar was withdrawn after he made a first cash payment to Coye today of what is said to be in the range of five hundred thousand dollars. An additional payment in an undisclosed amount is still pending, but as part of the settlement, should be paid in the months ahead. News Five has also been informed that a freeze order on the estate of Michael Coye placed there by Saldivar has been removed as a result of the settlement. Coye accused Saldivar, who is her former attorney, of walking out of the Central Bank of Belize with a briefcase of money, which the bank had unfrozen. Her efforts to get him to turn over the money to her were fruitless so she subsequently sought a new attorney and took him to court. But as we said, there is now a settlement because we are told Coye desperately needs the money.</p>
