The Statistical Institute of Belize released its latest and final figures for the year 2014. According to the Institute, in the last three months of 2014, the Belizean economy grew by 1.6 percent. In the primary sector, the banana industry grew by more than 30 percent while manufacturing and mining in the secondary sector declined by 6.6 percent. The tertiary or services sector grew by 3.6 percent. Statistician Jefte Ochaeta shared more of Belize’s Gross domestic product.
