<p><a rel="nofollow" class="highslide" target="_blank" href="http://edition.channel5belize.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/PUP-Release.jpg"><imgclass="alignleft size-medium wp-image-115880" title="PUP Release" src="http://edition.channel5belize.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/PUP-Release-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225"/></a>Earlier today, the People’s United Party issued a statement on the withdrawal of a lawsuit in the Supreme Court by Minister of State, Edmond Castro against Alverine Burgess and Great Belize Productions. The surprise move by Castro came on Friday when oral closing arguments were to be heard before the presiding judge, Courtney Abel. Throughout the case, Castro made a number of admissions including that he used his office to facilitate visas to Chinese nationals who he did not know. The P.U.P. today, has called for his resignation because he has breached the Constitution and violated the Immigration Laws and the criminal laws of Belize.</p>
