Earlier this week LOVE NEWS reported on claims that some residents of Orange Walk were possessed by demonic spirits. We spoke with a relative of a female victim who went in details of what his sister experienced when she was possessed. Today we learnt that the Evangelical Churches Association of Belize is conducting an extensive investigation on the reports. Oscar Barrera is President of Evangelical Associations OW and told us more.

“Evangelical Church Association of Belize with Pastor Crawford now we are doing a little investigation concerning the issue to see what is going to be the outcome of the days to come so that we can get together as a nation and visit these families and we also go in prayer for these people as well. Well actually we believe in the demon possession because the Bible also talks about it and these people are playing with the Devil literally. They are not using the Ouija board anymore they are using pencils and there are certain things that they do to call upon Satan and the demons are taking their bodies.”
Barrera said that they have been able to confirm two cases of demonic possessions in rural Orange Walk and continue to investigate the other seven reports. Barrera told us that demonic possessions are serious issues as it is a struggle between good and evil.

“When people started acting and I’ll be careful with the words in a certain way they have more strength, that usual their eyes turn different, the voice is not theirs its totally different, and for us as Pastors as Christians we know these people cannot mention the name of Jesus Christ. The moment you ask them to mention that name they will not mention it or they will scream so this is part of some of the reactions.”

To drive these demons out of the bodies of these individuals I understand that there needs to be somebody that is prepared is any of your church prepared to help these people get rid of these demons?
OSCAR BARRERA
“As Christians the Bible says that when we receive Jesus Christ we have the Holy Spirit but then we can’t just go there like you call me say you call a brother or a pastor or someone to go there they cannot just get up and go they need to have a special preparation. And there are some Pastors that are being used by the power of God to have the authority to do that. It’s not just any Pastor or any leader or any Christian that can go and do this.”
Barrera told us that demonic possessions occur when people play certain games and invoke bad spirits. We will have more on this in our subsequent news reports.
