Belize Named In Billion Dollar Securities Scam

The internet and news outlets, including CNN, have been abuzz since Thursday and today about a company called CYNK Technology and its networking site Introbiz whose address was traced to the Matalon building here on Coney Drive. Introbiz is a social network operator that offered services to purchase the contact information of personalities including celebrities as Nicole Kidman and Johnny Depp.  What caught the attention of the financial experts was that the stocks of the questionable company had soared dramatically, above those of the likes of Domino’s Pizza and Ann Taylor. It surged twenty-five thousand percent since mid-June.  But a check revealed that in fact there are no members, no revenue, no assets, it did not have an office at Suite four hundred at the Matalon building and only has one employee. In short, it was all bogus information so today it was suspended for trading in the US Securities and Exchange Commission.  But here is where it gets even more interesting because the Introbiz employee has been identified as Javier Romero, a former Officer at the Fisheries Department. He was employed as a ranger at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and was released in 2013 and tonight Interpol is also asking questions about him and the Fisheries department has been bombarded with queries as well. As far as we know he has not been in Belize since March and when he is here he resides in San Pedro. Javier is named as the CEO, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of CYNK Technologies in disclosure documents of the company.

His photos on Facebook show him flying planes and fishing. Now, we were unable to track him today because we are told he is in Boston but Business Insider news did by telephone. According to B.I., when the man on the phone heard that B.I. was working on a story about CYNK, he said he was Jason and that he works for Javier who is currently in Boston. When he was pressed as to why he appears as Javier on Facebook, he said he was asked to check Javier’s Facebook which contains a number of pictures. The exchange with Business Insider went on for a few minutes; Jason also explained that he has known Javier since they were young.
