A duo of armed thieves has made off with a little over thirteen thousand dollars in cash and personal items, following a late-evening heist at A&R Enterprise Limited on Wednesday. Sometime around six-thirty, a pair of men reportedly held up the security guard, before entering the store located on the Phillip Goldson Highway and lifting a bag containing nine thousand, eighty-four dollars in various denominations from the supervisor’s office. While an accomplice, described as a Hispanic male, stood guard near the front door, the gun-toting robber, his face covered with a stocking, continued to steal two cellular phones and jewelry belonging to the employees. He then ordered them to the second floor where he demanded that the supervisor open a safe. From the strongbox the robber stole one thousand, nine hundred and sixty-nine dollars that was inside a container, before locking the employees inside the office. Up to news time this evening police have been unable to make an arrest and an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
