32 year old Elias Ku also known as “Dunga”, a resident of Orange Walk Town has been reported as missing but from the information that the family has received, they fear the worst. According to Elias’ sister, Karina Ku, he was last seen on Sunday by their mother. Yesterday the family got word that Elias may have drowned in the river but the family has been unable to verify that claim. Love News Spoke with Karina Ku.

“Since then we have not heard anything from him because he has this bad habit; he has a drinking problem and likes to drink a lot. Some friends informed my mother yesterday that he seems to have gone at the river and drowned because they found a pair of shoes and a shirt that belonged to him. I came yesterday, Tuesday in the evening and I found the shirt and the pair of tennis and I informed my mother. Today in the morning we went to make a report and the CIB came later to retrieve the evidence. We are currently by the river to see if we can find a sign or something or see if we can find his body. Anyone who knows anything about my little brother please come forth and say something or if they saw something please tell us because we’re all humans and it doesn’t matter if he had a vice, he can be a drug addict or whatever but we’re all humans and we have a family. The only thing we want is to find his body and bury him as it should be done.”
Ku says the family got a report from someone that they saw him on Monday. As for the items found by the river side, the family is positive the clothing and tennis belongs to Elias. According to Ku, Elias normally goes absent for a few days but he had never given them a reason to be concerned until now when the family received word that something may have happened to him. Anyone who can help the family find Elias Ku is asked to call the Orange Walk Police Station or the family.
